MALIBU
AUGUST 2021
I was commissioned to make this piece based on the client’s love for Malibu, CA and going to school in that area. The main reference picture felt a little dull to me, so I wanted to incorporate colors of a Malibu sunset into the cliff side as well.
As one of the largest pieces (12×24) I have done on a canvas, I enjoyed the process and am happy with the end result.
These are the images I was inspired from. I used the composition of the image on the left and the colors of the image on the right.
